dan501 @ 05:39 pm: Learn Glowstringing - Free intro in Griffith Park. Classes in poi starting in April in Hollywood
I'm more of a fire spinner than a glow sticker and I've been going to raves lately and talking to the glowstring folks and learning from them and teaching them stuff... trading ideas. I've been so impressed at how welcome I've been and how well our styles flow together. All the glowstringers I talk to about the Flow philosophy say it's right in line with the PLUR philosophy and we give big hugs! So come get your Flow and PLUR on during the daytime... learn to be one of the people at raves that's making lightshows - it's so much fun, feels so good, and is so good for you. You can do it.

For advanced glowstringers: come take our Advanced Poi ninja jedi class. You'll dig it. It's taught by Andy House - he won Home of Poi's Circles of Light video competition a couple years ago as Brother and Son. I was just in Costa Rica, teaching workshops with Nick Woolsey of Playpoi (and I'm still on the front page of his website!). If you already do fire poi, awesome! You'll fit right in. If you want to start doing fire poi, come and rock it.

The whole semester barely costs more than one night of rave... with buying a ticket, getting your costume, hat, gas, extra goodies...

Handrew, virtuoso pianist who's been playing since age 5 and has a Masters degree in piano:

"Flow Arts has changed the way that I practice piano in such a positive way -- it changes the way I look at my own 'limitations.' Now when I come to something in music or in life that is really difficult I find ways of breaking it down into a physical science and breathing with it."

charpuppy @ 07:57 pm: this friday
Hi everyone! I just realized that this Friday (12/19) me & my boyfriend can go out to a rave for the first time in a a few months! I looked on groovetickets to see what was going on and found 4 different events, all pretty cheap, and I don't know which one we should pick. These are all on the same night: Merry Jollydaze, Merry X-mas, Electrofest, and Robotnik's Revenge. I don't really know anything about these particular raves, anyone been to these before or have a recommendation? Which one are you going to? Thanks. :D

I can't wait to see K-Complex!!!

ashwrt6 @ 09:23 am: I'm going to my first rave on Halloween (Hard Fest in Downtown LA) and I don't know what to expect. Have any of you guys been to Hard before? What was it like? I also don't know what is the proper attire to wear. I don't want to bring a purse with me because I want to dance all night, but I don't know what is convenient to bring that can carry my phone, wallet, and cigarettes. Any replies will help. Thanks.
